April: The Triumphant Return of Captain Corbett

April 10th.  The anticipation was palpable.  It felt like we were holding our breath and with every passing hour of flight delays, we became more unsure that we would make it.
Brenna was the first to go.  Maybe it was delirium.  Maybe it was nerves.  Maybe it was just a way to keep herself entertained in an empty airport in the middle of the night, I don't know.  Whatever it was, Brenna began to foam at the mouth.  She was restrained, then issued several "pimp slaps" to bring her back to reality.
Jami was next.  In the dark recesses of her mind she began to believe she was a true Earth-bender, like her hero Toph.  We couldn't snap her out of it, and to this day she still claims to have been trained by the giant Badger-Moles.
Finally, a light appeared from down the hallway.  It started dim, but grew brighter with each passing second.  It grew to the point that we had to cover our eyes.  What was this light? It was the glimmer, reflected from Captain Corbett's brilliant smile.  Hommie had returned!

At least, that's kinda how it happened.

A Day in the Life

I had an assignment for school.  Film a typical day in my life.  Well, anybody can see what I do on a regular basis just by watching me live or by watching these videos.  I capture that stuff all the time, but the thing that no one is privy to are my thoughts.  So I decided I'd give my teacher a glimpse of what goes on inside my head on a regular, daily basis.

I don't really know what to say about this one.  I'm not feeling very artistic or inspired at the moment.  That isn't to say that this month hasn't been both of those things, artistic and inspiring.  In fact, I would say that this month has been pretty stellar all around.  It's just right now, this present moment, as my fingers are busy punching keys I would rather be watching a UFC fight.

So I think I will.

I Demand Satisfaction!

If I could use just one word to describe January it would be "meh".   Nothing ever really happens in January.  I mean, it starts off with a bang, but once the ball is dropped and that last flake of confetti has met the cement...everyone kinda stands around with blank faces as if to say, "Well, what now?"

But not this year.  I Demand Satisfaction!  2012 is the last year we've got.  It's Armageddon baby. The end of time.  I say we bring on the sub-zero midnight ping pong tournaments.  Bring on the nature walks. Go flipping with friends, and throw a molotov pumpkin at Christmas trees soaked in gasoline on Utah Lake.  It's 2012.  We're two weeks in and I'm giving the Rapture the finger

A few months ago some stuff went down in my life and in the heat of it all... I almost lost my kool.  But Life is good, and as usual if you just go with the flow you'll find yourself in places you never would have imagined before.
